Can newbie Tom Grennan be bigger than Bay?

New kid on the block Tom Grennan is causing quite a stir in the music scene and for all of the right reasons!

The self-taught pianist, guitarist and hella-good vocalist has bagged himself a record deal with label-giant Sony and there’s been no going back. He released his debut single Something in the Water back in August this year and has been on a rollercoaster of a ride since. The Bedford beauty creates the perfect composition of goosebump-inducing vocals and transcending guitar riffs in his latest single that made it to no.2 on Spotify’s UK Viral Chart.

Simplicity is key when it comes to this chap who uses minimalist guitar strumming and his edgy, gripping voice to send the listener into a musical utopia. The track builds from subtle and quaint verses into an explosive chorus, which you can’t help smiling to. He’s shooting excitement into the singer-songwriter world, and he means business – I like it!

Having been well-received by listeners all over the country, his next London date, November 10th at The Slaughtered Lamb is actually sold out! If he wasn’t already doing well enough by himself, he’s got the back up of high flying electronic duo Chase and Status. Grennan features on the duo’s latest single ‘When It All Goes Wrong’ and has been asked to embark on their next tour. Not bad seeing as he’s also just finished touring with The Libertines, performing as one of their support acts. His debut EP blesses the ears of us, mere listeners who are desperate for some more eargasmic goodness on October 28th, and I personally cannot wait!
